Blog prompt question: What is normal?
Normal. Haha. Something I could totally write about. Normal?!?! What does that even mean? Everyone is normal and weird in his or her own right. I definitely get slack for doing and saying things that are unusual or liking things about the world that others don't find quite interesting. So here’s my advice for being a weirdo.
You might not get recognition for your silliness even though you feel greatness inside for it. (If that’s your passion, let it show.) You might get picked at, “that ain’t right…” (This isn’t complete without uncomfortable side glare. As if to say, you’re not normal and how dare you think outside the box. Let’s face it, though. In all honesty, we have our own solutions for certain open-ended problems.), or maybe you get picked at for your endless amount of in-depth ideas for a specific project (again cue side glare), or my personal favorite: your thoughts tend to be off-the-wall in the mad hatter sort of way (to which I remind myself: don’t worry they just haven’t had their full serving of Wacky Flakes this morning.) Which if you have a tendency to do things the hard way or you overthink things, don’t worry you’re not alone. I mean...creativity. Right? If people didn't overthink things a lot of inventions wouldn't have came to be. And everyone has their own perception, so I think it should be an opportunity to celebrate that unique thought process.
I get inside my own head sometimes and yet I love that, because being in my own mind and being locked up there is where I get my inspiration and I get all my creative thoughts. I think normal is whatever you make it. It's whatever makes sense to you. I definitely do what makes sense to me. I take my own creative liberties to go on my own journey and live an adventure even if it means exploring my own mind, because there's so much there that it's like why not. If you got time to explore that wackiness do it... lol. But everybody is wacky and weird. It's what makes them fun to be around. I feel like I have my most fun inside my own head, anyways. Because I can't be inside someone else's. lol. Even though I really want to. (that sounds slightly creepy...lol)
I think that's the superpower I'd choose though, because people fascinate me, especially when they're being REAL. I love analyzing people...my favorite pastime- as it is a pastime for many the introvert. It's just so entertaining to sit and listen to everything. It's kinda remarkable to me.
